[ Aomine gets his own personal order--two #2s, five extra cheeseburgers, and a large drink--to go along with Tetsu's milkshake before he finds a spot to sit and wait, munching on fries as he does. If he wants anything else to go along with the shake, he'll have to get it himself. Aomine's never sure where Tetsu's tastes are going to run on any given day, aside from the vanilla. ]
( It isn't too long before Kuroko comes walking up to the table where Aomine is, with his own tray of food. A small fry and a cheeseburger, considerably less than his friend had ordered. But hey, it's always been like that.
Wait, when did Kuroko even come in? )
I hope you weren't waiting long, Aomine-kun.
( He slides himself into the chair across from him and reaches out for the milkshake, glancing from the cup to Aomine briefly. )
[ It's only slightly startling when Tetsu pops up beside the table. It isn't perfect anymore, his ability to sense him, but it's getting better again. Slowly, with time.
He lets out a huff of a breath and shakes his head, finally unwrapping one of the burgers now that the other boy was finally here. ]
Nah, not long.
[ He had to have been in line... maybe while Aomine was waiting for all of his food? Probably around then. ]
( Kuroko isn't really surprised at Aomine's lack of a reaction to him walking up. After all, they'd been spending more time together than they had before. And, as a former teammate, there probably wasn't anyone else who knew Kuroko quite as well.
He hums quietly, noting that Aomine had waited for him to arrive before eating. It's a small thing, one Aomine himself would likely wave off as nothing, but it's a nice gesture to him. He decides not to bring it up, however, and starts unwrapping his own burger once seated. )
Not everyone eats like a horse, like you do.
( Kuroko teases back, eyeing the boy before him playfully before taking a bite. )
[ Honestly, he hadn't even noticed he'd done it. If it's pointed out to him at any given point, he will probably vehemently deny that it was done on purpose, that he was just waiting for it to cool off a little, it's fine! (All of that's a lie.)
The question makes him huff, even as he polishes off the first burger in just a few bites. Yes, he's been going to practice!! ]
Wakamatsu's out of his mind if he thinks I'm gonna be doing a bunch of suicide sprints.
( The thought of Aomine doing suicide sprints makes him chuckle quietly. He would likely complain the entire time, if made to do them. Still, it's more than Kuroko can manage, even with the improvement on his stamina from his own training.
He nods at Aomine after the little laugh, seeming as pleased as he ever really looks to hear that he's still practicing. )
I'm sure he's just trying to challenge you so you won't get bored, Aomine-kun. But I'm glad it's going well.
( He abandons the burger for the moment in favor of taking a few long drinks from his milkshake.)
It would be bad if you got rusty and couldn't keep up.
( Said with a completely straight face, despite it being clear that he's just joking with Aomine. Kuroko seems to have a bit of pep tonight...Or he's a glutton for punishment. Either way. )

[ He knows it's bait. He knows it is. But his ability was questioned so of course he's going to respond to it. Aomine immediately huffs and takes a sullen bite out of his next burger, glancing away in a weird mixture of anger and embarrassment. Anger over being embarrassed? That's probably it. ]

[ Which is... an improvement, at least. He's trying. ]
( Ah, there it is. Aomine reacts just as Kuroko expects. To be fair, he has an enormous amount of pride, so of course he wouldn't just let a comment like that slip by unnoticed. Honestly, it's adorable in its own right.
Not that Kuroko will ever tell Aomine that he thinks that.
Still, he can't help but smile. The corners of his lips turn upward, reaching all the way up to his eyes, even if it is slight in comparison to most. )
I believe that. I'd be a full lap behind you, if we went toe to toe.
( Kuroko pauses for a moment to take another bite of his burger and swallow, before adding: )
I didn't have any doubts that you were. You're having fun again and that's what's important.
[ Thank you, please never tell him he's being adorable about anything. It will only make him bristle up like the giant cat he is which honestly would just increase the adorable factor and start a vicious cycle. Best not to break the poor boy.

Instead, he reaches over and steals a fry from Aomine's box, despite having a full container of his own right in front of him. He pops the fry into his mouth and chews, afterwards speaking up again. )
[ He hasn't made any plans yet, anyway, and Satsuki hasn't bothered him to remind him of any team outings or anything. With the Winter Cup behind them, it isn't as imperative to spend every single break practicing. Not yet, anyway. They've earned an actual vacation.
He pauses, though, even as he makes his way through his... shit is he already on his last burger? When did that happen. ]
( No plans? That's unusual. Kuroko expected Momoi to at least have decided on something for Aomine. But it's good news for him, though.
Kuroko reaches out and snags another fry from Aomine's box, glancing back up to him again. )
I thought maybe we could spend some time together during the break. Would you want to do that?
( Yep. This is exactly what it sounds like. Like they are a couple. Outsiders might be surprised that someone like Kuroko would take initiative like that, without looking embarrassed or anything. But Aomine likely won't be surprised. Kuroko is a pretty ambitious guy.
He pops the fry into his mouth and chews, watching his face for his reaction. )
[ She seems to be backing off of him, just a little bit. Maybe because he's finally starting to come back around to how he used to be. It's been a relief for him, either way.
The fry stealing finally gets a slight frown and Aomine takes a moment to nab a couple back from Kurok's tray, munching on them thoughtfully as he glances sideways toward the inside of the restaurant. ]
So, like... a weekend or day trip or something? Just the two of us?
[ He likes the sound of that, if he's honest with himself. ]
( Kuroko watches him grab the fry, not bothered by it at all. After all, he's probably just stealing Aomine's fries just to pick at him. He takes his own fries and sets them in front of Aomine, clearly intending for him to finish them.
He nods at him then, confirming his intentions. )

( He smiles just a little at Aomine. Good. He was pretty sure Aomine would be down for it to begin with, but it's still having confirmation. )
[ Don't worry, the food's going to get eaten. In fact, most of it's gone now, nothing but wrappers and napkins left in their wake. Aomine leans back with his drink and sips at it thoughtfully, his head tilting back to look up toward the ceiling. ]
Dunno. I'd be just as good telling everyone that I'm going somewhere but then staying home.
